This is a vintage cabinet card portrait of playwright, Edwin Milton Royle. He was best know for writing the stage and screen hit, "The Squaw Man". The card is original and dates from 1900-1910s. The overall size of the card is 9" x 7" with the image area being 4" x 5 3/4". The signature at the bottom is either a rubber stamp or it was printed on. It is NOT an autograph. It has a Chemigraph trademake blind stamp in the lower left boarder. This was a very early process of printing photographs via tiny dots. This is not a photograph.
