DESCRIPTION :
The Bandstand newspaper, Volume 1, Number 4, April, 1939. Scarce early piece of ephemera fully dedicated to the swing, jazz, and big band style of the day. Front page article written by Benny Goodman. Bing Crosby pic on second page with small article. Jam Session article written by Tommy Dorsey on page 6. Center page has fantastic full page pictorial. Much more. Scarce and a must for the swing era collector. Picture is of actual paper offered, not a stock photo. We'll be happy to provide additional pictures for serious buyers.
CONDITION : Very Good
previous owner address label at front page over title, this newspaper is in very nice condition., the pages have tanned slightly as expected; it is folded in center; it is delicate but by no means brittle, absolutely fantastic condition!!!
