Red Velvet Elizabethan Opera Dress Costume
I know little about this subject. Below is the information my consignor gave me. Please email with any questions.
Designed by Susan Santoian, recently deceased. Costume designer who worked with Sarah Caldwell and her opera company. Best KNOWN AS costume designer for the Broadway musical JACKIE Family tells us that this costume made by Barbara Mantera of N. Y. was originally created for Shirley Verrett of the Metropolitan Opera but was never used. Description: Elizabethan style red velvet ,puffed sleeves with ribbon inserts. White satin paneled front insert. Heavily beaded and trimmed. Scoop neckline, long fitted sleeves, small train, Good condition except for slight soil on train and hem line.
Shipping and Insurance: S/I w/i the US will be $25.00 if the item sells for $200.00 or less. Please add $1.00 more for each additional $100.00 over the first $200.00 for additional insurance coverage. For shipping estimates outside US please email your address.
End of Auction Policy: Contact between buyer and seller must be within 3 days of end of auction or sale may be cancelled.
Payment Policy: Payment must be received within 7 days of end of auction or item may be relisted.
Shipping Policy: Shipping is done on Mondays/Fridays.
Insurance Policy: Shipping charges include insurance. Items requested shipped without insurance is at buyer risk only. In the unlikely event of loss or damage Postal Carrier Insurance rules will apply.
Return Policy: Returns allowed only if item described inaccurately. You are respectfully asked to email with any questions or concerns prior to the ending of the auction.
