these pencils change color at your touch. The wooden pencils are finished with a very special temperature sensitive coating , so the heat from your hand actually changes/alters the pencil's color, really cool, both kids and adults love them. with white text on colored pencils and they look awesome, everyone gets a real kick out of these items, excellent little conversation pieces. These pencils are also good just to keep as souvenirs. The writing is crystal clear as you can see from my picture
