RARE - 1950's Fair DINAH WASHINGTON Movie Star Card

Description: My husband collected this early version of a trading card, picking them up at our local Fair. What was called the Royal American Fair which travelled to our small city at the time. This is a photo of DINAH WASHINGTON complete with a reprint of her autograph. It measures 5 1/4" by 3 1/4" on cardstock with "Printed in U.S.A.". It is in excellent condition. There is nothing on the back, at that time they did not think to put details on the back. Unfortunately, there is red tape along the bottom (I've taken this into account with starting bid). These cards were collected by my husband and his sisters as pin-ups, so they have been appreciated in the way that kids do. Other than that, though, it is in excellent condition with only one pin hole at the top.
Dianh Washington was a rhythmn and blues singer who also built up a significant reputation as a jazz and pop singer, such was her versatility. She was born in 1924 and died in 1963. Her biggest hit was 'What a Diff'rance a Day Makes' which was a success in 1959 and is still widely known today. Her vocal style remained a constant throughout her career, but unlike other stars of the time, she was able to cross over easily from blues to jazz to pop and she had a particular talent for expressing emotion in her works. She was also very keen on performing sophisticated numbers, particularly in jazz.
