Original MGM Souvenir Playbook "The Making of Ben Hur" which could be purchased at the movie theater while attending the film. A handwritten notation by the original owner on the inside cover dates the purchase in San Francisco on March 6, 1959.
The book is in very good to excellent condition and is almost 50 years old.
Inside, the book describes the making of the film and individual bios of all the participating actors and actresses, as well as much background information concerning the making of the movie and the movie politics that went into the production.
There are many photos, both color and black and white. It is hardbound and shows little to no wear. The book is used and sold as-is. There are several photographic foldouts as well.
A true historical find for a Ben Hur or Classic Movie Enthusiast.
