pYou are bidding on one(1) original 1989 Frank Kozik handbill promoting afterparty of the concert featuring the bands/artists NWA, Eazy-E, and Too Short at Austin’s club Eastern Bloc. The handbill is printed (offset) black ink on white paper and measures approximately 5 1/4 inches by 8 inches. No Reserve! pThis was made using the imagery from the full-sized(11"x17") concert poster, probably ran off on a copier machine. Frank Kozik handbills were all low runs and few were ever saved. Most were glued up or stapled/trashed. If the low-rent production value of this handbill bothers you, don’t bid on it. This has been in my archives since it was put out in 1989. You have my guarantee of authenticity backed up by my provenance stamp on the back. (see below) pCondition- As distributed! This will look good in a frame under glass. See the photo! pMy stamp is on the back: "From the Collection of Samuel T. Schott." (I'm a noted collector of concert music poster art. For example, I provided the poster art for the Stevie Ray Vaughan biography "Soul To Soul" by Keri Leigh. Page 150- the last SRV Austin concert- Rites of Spring at Auditorium Shores) The stamp provides proof of provenance for the collector. It has no effect or appearance on the front of the handbill. pThose of you who are the most into Kozik know of Jay Knowles(Jay's 20th Century Esoterica) and that he traded hundreds of Kozik's offset printed posters out to California. Which is how Gallery L'Imagerie discovered Frank's talent, and then set him up with a silk screen press. I was Jay's initial and main source of early/offset printing period Kozik pieces. Which is why my provenance certification stamp is especially appreciated on Frank Kozik's works.
