This unique poem about Hank Williams, Sr. is one of many "Celebrity Pic-Poems" written by the same poet. Each poem is written in a Traditional, easy to understand style as you can see this one is. This particular poem is a series of Tercets.
It is about a shoeshine boy shining a "big shot's" shoes and the big shot not realizing that, one day, the boy will still be shining...but in another way....
On the left inside of the card is the poem, which flows over to the right inside of the card; on the right inside of the card is a photo of a boy shining shoes (representing Hank's childhood), and Hank with his guitar; and on the outside of the card is a brief bio of Hank on a beautiful background design.
Its dimensions are-8 inches high and 10 inches wide. It is laminated to give it a beautiful glossy appearance and to protect it forever!
To my knowledge, these are one of a kind poems, making them VERY RARE! Your "Hank" poem will be a wonderful addition to your collection of Hank Williams, Sr. memorabilia!
MAKES A PERFECT GIFT FOR A BIRTHDAY, FATHER'S DAY, CHRISTMAS, VALENTINE'S DAY, ANNIVERSARY, ETC.!!!!

"Shining” For A Living
He walked right up and, with a smile,
Said to the “big shot,” “Mister, I’ll
Work on your shoes a little while:
And when I’m done, I’ll guarantee
If you’ll look down, yourself you’ll see!”
The man said, “Sure, shine them for me.”
The big shot sat down on a seat,
Lit a cigar, there, on the street. . . .
And Hank got busy on his feet.
He slapped on polish, popped the rag . . .
He rubbed, and buffed, reached in his bag. . . .
The big shot started, then, to brag:
“You shine them like you’ve shined before.
I’ve not seen cleaner in a store.
You’re doing good!” Hank worked some more. . . .
But little did the big shot know,
That shoeshine boy, as he would grow,
Would keep on shining for his doe.
But “shining” in another way:
He’d get a guitar, learn to play . . .
And be a singing star someday.
