Sixty, Going On Forty
And now he’s hit the big “6-0”
But seems much younger than
Six decades. As I watch his show,
A forty-year-old-man
Is what I’d have to guess he is
If you asked me his age:
For when I watch him doing his
Performance on the stage,
It’s not the way he looks that makes
Me knock off twenty years:
For there’re some wrinkles and he shakes
Much slower to our cheers;
And he might wear a little dye
To cover up some gray. . . .
If that’s the case then why would I
Guess forty right away?
Because, with every twenty-four
Hours passing, eight we sleep:
One-third of them (some even more)
We spend just counting sheep.
