Movie Musing
If I could but audition for a role
And get the part and act just one more time;
And be assigned a leading man with coal-
Black hair, a trimmed mustache, and in his prime;
Of all the scenes this movie may require
Of me to do, there’s one that I’d just love:
To take this handsome man, ignite a fire,
And be the only one he’s thinking of. . . .
Of all the fun roles that I’ve done before,
One I’d redo if given half a chance:
’Though there are many of them I adore,
One comes to mind (one filled with sheer romance):
For there’s a scene that called for one long kiss;
I’d say that that’s the movie I most miss.
