Offered here an unused, never mailed postcard that measures 4-1/4 by 6 inches. It advertises the movie, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, and was published by GoCard Nationwide Postcard Advertising. On the back of the postcard it says, "Buy the Ticket - Take The Ride - May 22, 1998."
Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas is a 1998 film adaptation of Hunter S. Thompson's 1971 novel Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas: A Savage Journey to the Heart of the American Dream. The film, directed by Terry Gilliam, stars Johnny Depp as Raoul Duke and Benicio del Toro as Dr. Gonzo. Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas was a box office failure, grossing USD $10.6 million at the North American box office, well below its $18.5 million budget. It has since become a cult classic due in large part to its release on DVD in 2003.
I don't know how to grade postcards, as I am not a collector. The postcards I'm offering for sale were in a relative's attic - the family had lived in the same house for over 100 years - my great-uncle Charlie lived to be 102! Uncle Charlie wasn't a collector either. He just never threw anything away. I will wrap carefully with a cardboard insert and ship by First Class Mail, and each additional postcard you buy ships for only 25 cents more in postage.
