*In memory of "The Texas Troubadour" ERNEST TUBB (February 9, 1914-September 6,1984)* This unique poem about Ernest Tubb's famous song is one of many "Celebrity Pic-Poems" written by the same poet. Each poem is written in a Traditional, easy to understand style as you can see this one is. This particular poem is a series of tercets. Although it is not literally about Ernest himself, it is pretending...about the results of the person who is portrayed in his hit song "Walking The Floor Over You" ... Since he sung it, I'm pretending he is the man in the song... On the left inside of the card is the poem; on the right inside of the card is a nice photo of Ernest and his guitar with blue clouds behind him and wisped in gold to represent heaven; and on the outside of the card is information about him (brief bio and praise) on a suitable color background design. Its dimensions are-8 inches high and 10 inches wide. It is laminated to give it a beautiful glossy appearance and to protect it forever! To my knowledge, these are one of a kind poems, making them VERY RARE! Your ERNEST poem will be a wonderful addition to your collection of Ernest Tubb/Country Music memorabilia! MAKES A PERFECT GIFT FOR A BIRTHDAY, CHRISTMAS, VALENTINE'S DAY, ANNIVERSARY, ETC.!!!! WHERE ELSE CAN YOU FIND A SPECIFIC PERSONAL POEM WRITTEN ABOUT SUCH A FAMOUS STAR? Still Walking The Floor He warned you on the day you went away, That you’d be lonesome too . . . like him you’d pray. . . . The tears he shed for you are yours today. That day, he put away his old guitar; He never sang again or strummed one bar . . . And he was good enough to be a star. And, no, his love for you—it didn’t wane: Instead, as years went by, he grew in pain; Then finally the grief drove him insane. . . . And he still walks the floor, dear, over you, But now he doesn’t hurt like he used to: This floor is gold—it’s up beyond the blue.
