Although I occasionally come across brand new T's and collectible clothing items that have never been worn, most of the T’s and collectible clothing items I put up for auction have been worn.
Unless it is a rare collectible, all T’s and collectible clothing items will be clean, ready to wear and without any major flaws.
I will put up T’s and collectible clothing items that are less than ideal quality only if I know them to be very rare items that are highly collectible (e.g. early Grateful Dead shirts).
T-Shirt and Collectible Clothing Grading System:
Brand New: Never been worn. This designation will only be used if it can be verified.
Like New: Can hardly tell it’s been worn. Looks like it’s only been washed a handful of times.
Gently Worn: Has been worn and washed many times, but taken care of. Some fading has begun. Might be some slight wear apparent to the screen print, have very minor discoloration or pinholes in the fabric.
Rare Collectible: Very well worn but highly collectible. Might show significant damage to the screen print, have very noticeable stains, rips or holes.
