Donny Marie ( Me)
It’s Friday night at 8 P. M.;
Again, it’s time for her and him;
They’re each so comely, young and slim.
The girls all love his face, and hair . . .
The guys all look at her and stare . . .
The siblings make a perfect pair.
I love the skits of comedy;
His “Rock and Roll” and her “Country”;
Their duets are the best to me.
I hope they sing “I’m Leaving It
(All) Up To You”; before they quit,
I’d like Marie to sing her hit
Song “Paper Roses; when she’s through,
I’d like for him to sing one, too.
“Too Young” or “Puppy Love” would do.
And when they’ve done their skits and tunes,
And from the ceiling fall balloons,
I’ll think about the many moons
I’ve stayed home just to watch their show
On ABC; and this I know,
Next Friday night, my “tube” will glow!
